§How to Ease the Mast Down

You can do it by yourself, or with a extra person's help. You could do it on the trailer or in the water.

  • go back to cabin, and release the block system line, and you will see the mast is going down toward the stern side TakeOffMast-44.png

  • the line will become heavier and heavier when mast is going down further TakeOffMast-46.png

  • let it keep on going down and sit on Mast Bucket TakeOffMast-47.png TakeOffMast-48.png


¶ Get the Boom down

  • secure the blocak system line then lower the boom TakeOffMast-49.png

  • by releasing the spinacle halyard, but holding tight in your hand TakeOffMast-50.png

  • releasing slowly TakeOffMast-51.png

  • at the end, take over by hand and out it down like this TakeOffMast-52.png

  • take off the block system line TakeOffMast-53.png

  • Secure the block system line for next rasing the mast TakeOffMast-54.png

  • take off this pole TakeOffMast-55.png

  • set the boom ins the center, so that it will not fall into water

    • and take out the spinacle halyard TakeOffMast-56.png

§Prepare to move the mast forward

  • unpluck all the deck cable TakeOffMast-57.png

  • you can leave the sheets at the stopper, but you have to pull it to give a little slack TakeOffMast-58.png


§The mast supporter

  • it can be in only one position TakeOffMast-59.png

  • you need minimum 70 Kilos to move the mast forward, more weight at the mast end

  • take the pin out, TakeOffMast-60.png

  • the mast will be free as a see-saw TakeOffMast-61.png

  • pull it forware toward the stern, about a meter it will be balanced

    • give some slacks to hallayard TakeOffMast-62.png TakeOffMast-63.png
  • move all the way till like this,

    • watch out for lines TakeOffMast-64.png
  • or leave the pole one meter behind the trailer

    • move it little up for accessing winddex and others TakeOffMast-65.png
